Method: Tie in the Dumbbell eyes clouser style behind the eye leaving enough room for the head. Lead can be added behind he eyes if required. Take a small clump of Marabou and tie in above the barb for the tail. (The marabou must be held between the thumb and forefinger and torn to length when the fly is complete) Tie in a piece of flash either side of the tail. Select about 8 long marabou fibers and tie in by their tips above the barb. Twist the fibers together and wind forward to behind the eyes. Take it between the eyes one more turn and tie off. Leave a small wing sticking up when trimming the excess. Form a near thread head and cement.

| This is my favourite fly when probing for fish in still water and has taken many yellows as well as trout. My largest rainbow 4.3 Kg was taken on this fly tied in brown. | |
