Dress the hook. Tie in a few fibres off a hackle feather just above the barb of the hook. Make a thin noodle of dubbing and wind forward making a slightly tapering abdomen half the length of the shank .Now tie in 4 to 6 strands of your choice of flash on top of the shank. Carry on the dubbing to form the thorax ending just before the hook eye. Bring the flash forward over the thorax and tie off. Trim the excess and tie a neat head and varnish same. Pick out dubbing to form legs. |
