Tying Sequence: 1. Tie in thread base. 2. The middle third of the shank, wrap 3-4 turns of wire (for weight). 3. Dub the body just enough to cover the wire. Leave the front quarter of the shank undubbed. 4. Take the tip of a partridge feather and strip one side. Tie in the butt end of the feather near the eye of he hook. Wrap one or two turns around the shank and tie off. 5. Finish the head of the fly with 6-8 wraps and lock the thread. |

Fishing the fly: Cast perpendicular to the current near the end of a riffle. Let the line swing below and pause at the end of the swing. Often a strike will occur at he end of he swing. Strip the fly back with slow short (3cm) strips.
